oh man, here are just a few nostalgia tracks. nu metal at its best. theses guys no longer make music to my knowledge. these were the tracks that i couldnt get enough of in hs. sounds elementary these days but at the time it was awesome- energetic and heavy! remember this was the time limp bizkit (not even sure if that is correct spelling) was huge. so here you go, some project wyze, dead celebrity status, cyprus hill (not sure when their material came out same time but thats what i listened to in conjunction to this stuff). videos look ridiculous now! but remember totally being into it.

alrighty just a few tracks that ive listening to on my daily commute. some civil wars, an oldie from eddie hope, stateless (pretty great album, might i add), kaiser chiefs, one of my faves from F+M, rise against, ima robot, kathryn williams, mutemath, we are augustine, & cinema orchestra, bahamas.
was going to add some sheepdogs but all their new stuff is streamable on espn and not so much on youtube just yet.
so there you go. enjoy!
For May 18th, 2012:
(order of track names from bottom to top)
These are just a few tracks oldies and newbies that have been gracing my playlist:
mother mother- problems (something upbeat)
she wants revenge - tear you apart (05' song but love it, very ominous sounding)
band of horses- is there a ghost (chilling but somehow kind of uplifting? dont know why)
dave brubeck- take five (oldies but love the jazz and just classy lounge feel)
al green- love and happiness (just something lovely)
andy brown- ashes (great guitar and chill vocals)
the doors- riders on the storm (just groovin)
airbourne toxic event- changing (upbeat and catchy as hell)
the watson twins- just like heaven (love the original cure's version but this is just a bit more mellow)
White stripes- seven nation army remix (heard it on the gi joe trailer in theatres and instantly knew it was an awesome remix--heavier than original and louder. Normally dont like remixes but this is fresh mix)
enjoy

great acoustic and chill track by brandon chandler- we are everything. agnes obel -riverside is chilling and bit darker then chandler's track. billy squier's the stroke is something a bit different compared to the first two tracks. love this song simply because of the one guitar riff. lyrics kinda dirty (good ol rock and roll) but such great heavy riff to rock to. also some BoS- devil takes care of his own, which is some new rock&roll. enjoy.
2 tracks by marcus foster, 'shadows of the city' and 'i was broken'. shadow of the city sounds great. kind of a tragically hip mixed with chillness of dallas green . robert pattinson did a cover of 'i was broken' and i thought it was pretty good, but after hearing foster's original, this towers pattinson's cover. awesome voice. video is simple black and white; a calmness to it, but voice is intense. tried looking for this 'i was broken' version on youtube but couldnt find it. his other acoustic versions are less intense.
two great tracks i heard on rookie blue. takka takka - very chill and hanni el khatib- thought it was black keys or blac roc , but were neither. so very awesome and upbeat. rookie blue show has great music on it and so far i found tracks almost each ep.
styrofoam one -pavement and true affection - the blow. just heard it and its catchy...
some awesome tracks from adele's 21. sounds amazing. live sounds like studio.
new incubus, ry cummings,
totally chillin track by arcade fire....
black keys came to vancouver on the 3rd so thought id put up my favorites from the brothers album.
i put up the link in summer of 09' but it finally got some playtime on mtv and getting more attention so...enjoy, again.
october 2010.
oceanship are pretty chill. great songs...been on shuffle on ipod for a friggin while. and some no doubt classic. cant live without no doubt stuff.
september 2010.
love lifehouse. slower tracks from lifehouse definitley always awesome. i guess, its mostly soundtrack material. jason wades voice is angelic.
this track is good. he's one arrogant douche, but he is a music producing genius.
and love lock down cover by white lies pretty good. and th script's lose yourself not bad. bbc live lounge covers are pretty fucking awesome.
white zombie classic and a 2007 track by metric.
awesome.
new track dead weather awesome shit i cant describe any other way. cold war kids audience catchy as hell.
been listening to Landon Pigg, and he is pretty chill. Does anyone else notice he sounds like sea wolf? very similar voice. very tranquil stuff.
its a bit late but thought i would find some classic rob zombie to celebrate the release of the new album. Dragula was the first song that i heard from rob zombie and since then i absolutely adore him.
not a fan of tegan and sarah but heard this song and its not too bad. they are pretty popular for an act that looks and sounds indy. i guess sorta AList indy like death cab. this is the only song i have heard from them that really caught my attention. its damn catchy. as for the older and more recent popular ones, gotta say not my cup of tea. but this is an awesome one though!
