Sea wolf live show in vancouver at electric owl nov 2, 2012.
kol concert in vancouver. sept 2011. great concert. uploaded two videos, knocked up and four kicks. enjoy!
i know this is an old vid, but just had to share it. conservative direction is just plain scary. the next thing will be repeal current abortion and capital punishment legislations. canada has come so far, but to have this happen now in the 21 st century is tragic. so go ahead and spread this vid around.
ive already commented on the article so just wanted to see what others have to say. so check the link from straight article and leave more comments. i think its a good idea to get legal advice if you are a first time offender and not a complete idiot on the norm. remember ppl are pissed and the ones coming out and being accountable will be denunciated, so be cautious. legal advice is a good idea especially if you are from the metro vancouver; we dont have the resources like north van (restorative justice practices). restitution and cleaning up the places that were affected seems reasonable, but a criminal record should be there for the ones who deserve it, like the ones convicted of assault and/or arson during the riot. ruining lives of ppl who are shamed and are being accountable does not solve anything.
just thought i would share this... raw and beautiful... enjoy
The Arctic Light from TSO Photography on Vimeo.

has nothing to do with music but just wanted to share it...just because...
enjoy.
enjoy it. instead of clicking the link to their page. taken directly from their site. i know its a widget but to be clear no copywrite shit., no ownership from musicinplethora. had to mention it just in case of legal copywrite bullshit. better safe than sorry, right.

Hole comes out with new material.
the olympics are just around the corner and to be honest i wasnt psyched or really noticed anything up until now. there are bunch of free concerts nightly that are on the concert listings section so go and check it out. bands like sam roberts, hot hot heat, daniel wesley, jully black, keisha chante, and a bunch more... so go out there and celebrate with the world for van 2010.

well i thought i would say something about the late show because conan deserves better. now, im not the biggest late night fan; however, i do occasionally watch the 10 or 15 monologue because it usually updates the latest new headlines with some comedic relief. and i have to say that nbc should grow some balls and let leno go instead of cancel other primetime shows and now push the conan's late show to a later and time slot. if leno cannot hold onto his show then that should be it, cancel the show. nbc simply being chicken shit that leno would go to another network and challenge their own network is foolish and vapid. thats what tv is all about- competition. and whom ever comes up on top deserves the prize. leno should of retired when he announced it or never agree to let go of the show to begin with.
because of this mess every other show is affected. not only is conan affected but the other late night show (with fallon?) is affected as well. conan is the middle person and should have never ever been dragged into it because leno couldnt hold onto his show. conan should sue the shit out of the network and get all the monies he deserves for being placed under all this unnecessary pressure. pushing some show later in the evening is not going to help ratings when more than half the population is sleeping 12:05. and i agree that the late show cant exactly be called the late show because its technically the next morning. so there you go, im with coco! he's fuckin' hilarious. maybe more physical comedy than dry humor, but it works with the red hair. all i know is that letterman is reaping in all the benefits from this.

Just watched the vma's last night for the MJ tribute and it was alright. the dancing was great and the Janet performance was pretty awesome as well, but i was expecting more. I missed a lot of it, so I had to google the Kanye part. What a disrespectful jackass.
We are all attracted to confidence in a man but arrogance is a whole other ball game. We all know kanye is an egotistical jackass, but he took it entirely to a new level last night. Taking away someone's first experience and excitement for winning an award is pretty fucked up. I mean Swift's video probably was not the greatest but she earned the award legitimately. So that's all that mattered. The stage crashing was completely uncalled for.
Although he is a creative artist, his arrogance deterred my interest in his music. And now, everything about him makes me want to heave. This Arrogant self centered, man child should leave the industry because no one can respect anyone who has the balls to do what he did and not apologize properly. His statement on Jay Leno was an act to generate sympathy and it does not fucking work. It was not even an apology, just an excuse for how he behaved. Be a fucking man. Redeeming himself might be a bit too late.

Don't know if you have all seen the new interview with Michael Jackson's dad but it's not cool to promote your new record company to sell your son's music when he has only passed 4 days ago.
It sickens me to hear of such crap coming from the icon's father. All the stories of a horrid childhood makes sense when his father treats him like a form of commodity. And we wonder why MJ is so eclectic and hangs out with children all the time. He's just trying to recapture the childhood he never had.

June 25th 2009 is the day where millions of devouted fanatics and people who just knew Michael Jackson's music were devastated to hear of an abrupt death by the King of pop. Michael Jackson is a musical icon; people all over the world know and will continue know and love his music for a long time to come. Even myself, who is not a true fan could see his effect on music. I even know the songs that came out in the 70's when he was a part of the Jackson 5. "Thriller," "bad," "the way you make me feel," 'billy jean," "dirty diana," and a bunch of other ones had graced my playlist. His affect on so many of the up and coming, and revered artists of today are evident as they have tried to mimic his dance moves(the legendary "moon walk") and created new ones based on it. MJ is one of the few iconic musicians( like Elvis, Lennon, Bob Marley, and JCash )who has touched millions of lives with his talent. He has worked with many artists and spanned genres of music. Rock, pop, r&b, soul, and hip-hop are genres created to tax artists and limit their music style from stemming out onto other genres. Thanks to MJ, he changed the face of music by collaborating with many artists of a different genres to blend their styles and create beautiful music. Without his contribution, we would never have the beautiful sounds of today. Every one, ranging from metal bands to pop princess' have expressed their love and influences from MJ.
It's a shame that some people will only know MJ from the recent tabloids where he has lost some of his swiftness and respect due to certain allegations. He seems like such a humbling, innocent and naive man to try and care for children in hopes that people would understand his love, and not twist it with an adverse purpose. The fact that he was able to persevere through the hapless civil lawsuits and continue to show his care for children up until today, shows how he is not afraid of how the public would view and judge him. He was naive but benevolent and had no ulterior motives. And hopefully the truth will surface someday to clear his name. All he really cared about was preserving innocence in children who were less fortunate and nothing could stop him from doing that. Fortunately many will remember THRILLER and how he has changed the world of pop music. He is a beloved and inspirational musician and his influence has and will continue to span more than music and culture.
I have got to say that his wardrobe was a bit over the top; however, he is the only one that can pull that shit off. There will never be another musician like Michael Jackson with this much power and influence to grace music, again. There is not much else to say but... HE IS LEGEND.

Currently listening to the new Marilyn Manson, The High End of Low... gotta say its a bit of a departure from Eat me, drink me. I'm still giving it a few more tries before an actual review.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm a big fan of original scores. so if anyone is interested in composers check out Alexandre Desplat. He did benjamin button, the golden compass, and a bunch of other big movies. Carter Burwell, Christopher Beck, and Danny Elfman are also great.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Currently chilling to WHITE LIES....
their sound is a mix of depeche mode, franz ferdinand, and marilyn manson. i know, a bit of stretch between the artists but as a combo pretty damn good.
