Justin Nozuka is one those artists that produce great, soulful, and passionate music that does not get the recognition that it deserves. Nozuka has been around for a few years. I discovered his music while listening to a few tracks from his brother George. I was expecting another r and b pop dude and came across guitar stuff and, to my surprise I found a great asian jack johnson. Nozuka's sound is chill like jack johnson, but with passion like stevie wonder. all tracks on Holly are very chillin. acoustic guitar is prevalent in every track and it dominates the entire album. my favorites are "suppose to grow old," "after tonight" (a bit more upbeat), " Mr therapy man," and "criminal." Nozuka performs his music with soul and I cant help but love it. with a down to earth look, sound, and feel, he should really be heard across all nations. I do believe he plays small venues internationally, so hopefully he will get his music across more radio waves soon. more recent tracks that i adore are "swan in the water" and "my heart:"(both from his new album, you, i ,wind land and sea).
