JACK JOHNSON
In Between Dreams
Jack Johnson's In Between Dreams is a 14 track album of tranquil goodness. Every track is doused with acoustic guitar and upbeat but relaxing melodies. Johnson's chill vocals and cute melodies are enough to snag my attention. "sitting, waiting, wishing" is the debut track from the album with great acoustics. "better together," "do you remember" and "banana pancakes" are my favorite. His guitar playing is flawless with simplicity and charm. "do you remember" is the only track with lyrics that caught my attention. It's a cute story. His use of the ukulele makes the tracks even more melodic. It's a great album to chill to. The ambiance is like a sunny day with a perfect breeze, while you are sitting under a tree. "Belle" even has some french lyrics that you can enjoy.
So if you are up for chill music, then, go pick this album up. Everyone needs an album like this to relax to. It's not incubus Morning View tranquil with heavy screams; it is Jack Johnson, and guitar tranquil without screams. The word cute charm comes to mind when describing this album. You will know what I mean once you get a listen.
