Garden State Soundtrack
Garden State is one of those movies that may sound a bit pretentious at the start simply because its a 1 hour and 49 minutes long movie following a man's life who happens to be induced in a lithium state until the death of his mother causes him to retract from a drug coma. Seems like the last movie that anyone would want to watch unless you too, are on some type of drug trance. But I am glad that I gave it a chance before condemning the movie entirely. The characters oddly enough, are original and lovable. And of course the soundtrack caught my attention.
Now, of course it's a great soundtrack to listen to on a good rainy night. It's soothing and comforting. With the likes of Coldplay, shins, iron and wine, simon and garfunkel and many more great artists, there is no way that you cannot chill to this. Iron and wine is prob the most chill shit ive heard but its awesome! So definitely go and check out the movie first and see what I'm talking about. These are great acoustic guitar tracks and some actually have simple guitar progressions. I believe its this album that got me to really broaden my music collection. Before this, I was really a grunge and heavy rock songs kinda girl (and of course some metal). So it really lightened my music taste quite a bit. So hopefully it will encourage to do the same.
