Ten Thousand Fists
Disturb's Ten Thousand Fists is my favorite album from them. All the tracks are heavy, loud, and upbeat. The first track released from this album, "land of confusion" is a remake and sounds great. They original was released in 86' by genesis, which was quite a bit lighter and poppier. Disturbed made a great version of it placing heavier guitar riffs and speeding it up with more energy, and louder drumming . The entire album is loud and definitely a great head banging album. Lead vocalist David Draiman has a distinctive and intense voice fit for hard rock. Every word coming out is screamed and it could not sound any better. "ten thousand fists," "stricken," and "stupify" are among my favorites. Each track generates a high level of energy and no one can can resist that. The lyrics are a gateway to personal and political insights (if you are interested in it). So, it's a good old rock album complimenting heavy guitar riffs and beats that will surely keep you satisfied. These are great tracks that will keep you on feet. Go for a run or do something active because it will keep you motivated; definitely not something that will be appropriate for a mellow day, unless you're me.
This album was released in 05' and it was one of their best. They are coming out with new material this year, I can't wait for that!
